Mr. Algün’s 20 years of experience has been directed towards precious and base metal explorations, setting up and management of geochemical and spatial database and QA/QC systems of geochemical assays, grade control systems and geological modelling of ore bodies.

Mr Algün has begun his career at Cominco. He worked at Cerattepe Project and Fatsa Altıntepe gold projects (1995-1996). Mr Algün joined Tüprag (subsidiary of Eldorado Gold Corporation) in 1996.  During his early work life in Tüprag, he worked at numerous gold exploration projects like Kışladağ, Efemçukuru and Şahinli (Kestanelik) projects. From 2002 through 2007 he worked at Kışladağ Gold Mine as a mine geologist. He setup grade control and database system by using Gemcom Gems for Kışladağ Gold mine. He also contributed resource and reserve calculations and geological modelling of Kışladağ Porphyry Gold deposit during this period. From 2008 through 2012 he worked at miscellaneous exploration projects. He also set up company file server and database system. Mr. Algün also contribute geological modelling of Efemçukuru Epithermal Gold Deposit during this period. Since 2012, he’s been working as “senior resources and information systems geologist” at Tüprag. He is also partly working for Eldorado Gold Technical Services team to give a support to Company’s projects located at China, Greece and Romania.
